Blog number 9

In this class I think it was an alright class. I'm not a big fan of social so It was pretty hard for me to get into it. I didn't really like any of the assignments except the one we did on iMovie like the one we just did. That interested me once I started doing it. I didn't like the Vooks it didn't interest me at all.

Blog 9 - Your thoughts on the Rome RAFTs. Did you enjoy your topic? What did you learn about Rome? Other than your own whose RAFT did you like the best and why.

I think this project was more fun and enjoyable then our last assignment, i liked how it was shorter and not so painstaking. I enjoyed my topic, we had a lot of fun doing our silly cooking show. I learned that the Romans liked salt and flavourful food, I also learned a lot about how and when the Romans ate and how they ate according to the amount of money they have. I liked caras because we got food and it was cool how she brought us samples to kinda taste how the food tastes

Blog # 8 PMI of Ancient Rome vs us article

5 interesting;
-Rome was the Superpower of its time, and the United States is the Superpower now.
-The United States is just as dominant- its Military budget is larger than nine other countries put together
-Based on history the Romans understood that the world needed to practice imperialism, namely the art of winning wars and invading territories;
-the Romans had great military strength; and the rest of the World undoubtedly knew their strength and consequently feared the Roman as well
-Rome realized that if they were to last as a World power, the Romans had to excel at both the art of winning wars as well as the winning the cultural battle often times found in political circles, considering that the Roman empire spanned continents as well as vast cultural divides
5 positive;
-Military strength is the most obvious similarity
-The Romans had the best training,
-America and Rome have had its share of colonizing and conquering evidenced by their very histories as written throughout the centuries
-Add the United States technological lead, and the United States emerges as a serious superpower without any rivals
-Rome’s greatest conquest was the seduction of its’ peoples
5 negative;
-the United States did not form any type of formal colonies and the Romans always did
-furthermore until this date there has not been any evidence that the United States has deployed any ruling consuls in other sovereign lands
- they also practiced and learned the political tricks that sustained their ability to stay in power of their territories during their reigning period.
-As should be evident, the United States is more Roman then we realize
-today the Americans in the United States are implementing the same tactics without fail, all the while not realizing the Roman "roots" of these tactics

Blog 6 evaluation

I think getting evaluated pretty much just means passing a class to me. It's not even a big deal to me, all I want is to pass. So it doesn't matter to me if I get a good mark or not. My parents want me to pass all my classes so I guess that's why I try to pass. I am smart enough to do really good work but I just choose not to. I'm just really lazy, ever since I got into high school I've just kind of shut down.
